"OMG I love him"
As I entered the classroom, She was talking to her friend about a boy she saw for the first time.
"Does she even know what love is?", I thought.
Walking through the chairs I found a quiet and calm spot in the corner with no girls sitting around. I put my bag there and sat down. The word love was stuck in my mind for some reasons.
I took my notebook out of the bag along with a pen. I don't know when did I write 'love' there.
My thoughts started wandering. Love , love , love , love!
What the hell is love?
Why is everyone running after it and what good does chasing love do to a man?
Why are we humans in so desperate need of love..
Is it really a need? Or we just want to have another topic to talk about?
"Well, love is not just between a boy and a girl" , a voice from within said.
"Ofc, I know." Another replied.
"So what is it, what really love is?"
"To me it is an extraordinary feeling in very simple things. It is the unknown happiness you feel when you find love around you. When you're having a heart filled with gratitude just because someone complimented you. When you see a child and want to behave like a child. When you feel so juvenile and you don't care about what the other person will think of you if you behave that way. When you can be whole of you without having a slightest fear of being judged at this. When you wake up in the morning and you realize you're important, you matter and you smile. Maybe not for everyone but yes for some people or for one person.
Love is those moments when your heat fills up with a confidence that this person is never gonna harm me intentionally. When people take pride in being associated to you, when they appreciate you for who you're.
And this feeling, it doesn't just gets induced by seeing someone for the first time , or just because they are pretty and beautiful.
Calling that hormonal response 'love' is an injustice.
Love develops over time, like in our friendships the bond or love needs efforts just like a plant needs water. If you care to give right amount of efforts than that is love.
I have seen people who believed that they had fallen in love with their handsome or pretty partner at first sight, saying Love is bulls**t."
"Oh , Sir is there." The first voice says.
"Okay I gtg (got to go)" the other replies.
I close my notebook as the teacher enters the class.
