So, really interesting story with TanTan - Chinese tinder. Two of the girls I matched with, great but different personalities, nice chats, different locations, both students. I talked with one for like 2 weeks and she was like 10KM from me. Didn't suggest anything. I matched with another one somehow in another state, talked with her for 3 days. On the same day I asked for both their WeChat, then one started to mention that they live stream, on LanternTV 灯笼. I was like "Ok cool, they Livestream I guess?". Told them I'll check it out later and they gave me their ID.



30mins later the other one messages me the same thing and I get sus. I look it up and apparently you need to pay to interact with the streamers - basically camgirls without sexual content. I call one out for it, play along with the other since I want to see it at least. They give me the username and give the exact same one - even after calling her out. Shas oblivious enough that she doesn't know she added the same person on two different accounts.

I coax her into a conversation, she's an international student who's trying to make some money, and is basically legging it home after she's done graduating. I basically said I understood why she was doing it, but honestly it wasn't worth it in my view. I've talked about the struggles of being an international student with her before but didn't know she was doing this, must've hit a nerve. Even after we talked she was like "do you want to watch my stream" zzz. I watched her as she was replying to my messages and she looked kinda depressed.

Anyway, I wasn't going to be pulled into her scam, and offered my help for anything else. Deleted me after lol.
